How to give your car a Presales Makeover
|
We've all heard about personal makeover, but is there really a makeover for a car?
Well, you could call preparing your car for a sale a makeover, because you are going to take some steps by which it looks really neat and well almost new! Here are a few tips on how to spruce up your car before a sale:
- Give the body of your car a good wash. This will make it look really spick and span. After you've washed the car give it a good polish. Use cheesecloth rag to wipe off grime and dirt before you start with the polishing.
- Next, areas to clean are the wheels. Apply some degreaser on them before pressure cleaning them.
- Give your tires a totally new look with tire black. You can apply it to other areas such as the exhaust pipe outlet, mud flaps, and mufflers.

- Don't leave the inside out! Give the inside of your car a good cleaning with vacuum, so that the car floor, seats and glove box becomes neat.
- Surfaces such as the dash board, the areas behind the rear seats and so on should be wiped using a damp cloth.
- If you happen to notice stains on the seats, there are many cleaning products in the market that can help you to remove these stains.
- You may notice a smell inside the car. You can freshen this up with a car freshener.
|
- Clean the car boot with using vacuum cleaner.
- Have a mechanic over and get a through inspection of your car. Fix areas that need repairs before you place an ad for sale.
When you present a well-maintained car to prospective buyer you can get the right price for it. On the other hand a sloppy look or a car that show signs of repairs required to a prospective buyer, will result in buyers bringing down the price or worse not even being interested in it!
Summary
When you give your car a good clean-up and check up on part condition before placing an ad for sale, you can get the right buyers interested in your car.
